To my surprise, I haven't found anyone else asking this in the forums. Are there restrictions on profanity? Since there's a transcriber involved, is one required to leave only 'decent' messages?

What about non-profane but ...offensive stuff that one still wants transcribed?

Hi ch,
this is an interesting question, and the short answer is that we do have limits. Profanity is a natural part of everyday speech, and we try to honor that. We are not in the business of limiting or interpreting personal expression. But there are times when transcribers are faced with something they think goes beyond what's reasonable. There have been a few accounts that's needed to be locked, but we're talking low single digits.

Hope that helps.

John
